FAQ
PARK Compliance Services’ antitrust compliance training course provides participants with the core principles of German competition law in two hours. This includes an introduction to competition law, an overview of intellectual property rights, relevant risks and prevention strategies, risks and side effects, an overview of unfair competition law, case studies and checklists, and an introduction to the directive on competition law. Furthermore, practical examples and concrete recommendations are provided to help participants avoid violations in their daily work.
All employees who make market-related decisions or have contact with competitors should participate. This includes, in particular, management, sales, purchasing, marketing, product management, key account management, as well as teams that participate in industry meetings, tenders, or association activities. New employees in sensitive areas should also be trained promptly.
Antitrust training should be repeated at least annually to keep knowledge up-to-date and address emerging risks. Additional training is recommended in the event of organizational changes, new products or markets, or following relevant incidents within the company or industry. Regular short updates are advisable for particularly high-risk areas such as sales and purchasing.
A lack of awareness can lead to employees unintentionally engaging in antitrust violations – for example, by exchanging confidential market information, engaging in informal coordination, engaging in illegal price or quantity agreements, or behaving inappropriately at meetings with competitors. Competition law violations are not trivial offenses: the consequences can be severe, ranging from fines in the millions to civil claims such as injunctions, damages, and the removal of harmful substances, and even criminal liability in cases of intentional violations.
In addition, there is the risk of production stoppages or bans, recall and destruction obligations for affected products, substantial court and legal fees, and massive reputational damage. Such incidents can lead to further economic consequences, such as the loss of important customers or suppliers and long-term impairment of market position.
PARK Compliance Services conveys all the key risks of competition law and how you can identify and effectively prevent them early on by participating in our antitrust compliance training courses.
Companies benefit from clear rules of conduct, greater legal certainty in their market presence, and a noticeable reduction in liability and fine risks. Employees learn to recognize risky situations early and act responsibly – whether in sales, procurement, at trade fairs, or in negotiations. At the same time, comprehensive training strengthens the trust of authorities and business partners and supports sustainable, compliant corporate behavior.
